As a voice instructor, I am committed to a student-centred teaching approach that honours each singer’s unique artistic identity while developing their technical excellence and stylistic versatility. My teaching integrates students’ musical interests with structured training across a range of genres, including classical art song and opera, as well as musical theatre, pop, rock, and country. This crossover-training approach prepares vocalists to navigate today’s multifaceted performance landscape with confidence and adaptability. I hold a Master of Music in Classical Vocal Performance from Kent State University (2024) and am currently completing a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy at Syracuse University (2026). My teaching emphasises vocal health, technical proficiency, and the integration of music theory, history, and stylistic analysis to deepen students’ understanding of their craft. Through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback, I foster a supportive and encouraging environment in which students feel empowered to explore varied styles and expressive possibilities while maintaining high artistic standards. Whether students pursue professional careers in performance, education or other music-related fields, my goal is to develop technically proficient, musically informed and passionate artists who find the joy in their creative journey and contribute meaningfully to the vocal arts. I have taught at the university level at Syracuse University as the primary instructor for the undergraduate course Voice for Non-Majors (AMC 110) and previously taught approximately 30 students of all ages in Northeast Ohio from 2022 to 2024. In addition to my teaching and academic work, I am a co-host of The Chronicles of the King, a research-based podcast dedicated to exploring the life and legacy of Elvis Presley. I have a strong interest in music history, early rock ‘n’ roll, and the role of Memphis as a cultural centre for American Popular Music of many genres.
